As always, I purchased all products shown here with my own money. All opinions and pictures are my own.
Recently, I was playing around with some new makeup bits and bobs that I bought. I decided to have a bit of fun and try to re-create the "recommended use" look on the back of Rimmel's Crown Jewels palette. You can see my initial review of the quad HERE.
To refresh your memory, here's swatches of all the colors:
|Crown Jewels Quad, From L-R: 4 // 1 // 2 // 3|
Rimmel numbers it's colors from top to bottom, then right to left. Therefore, "1" is the silvery blue shade, "2" is the warm bronzey taupe, "3" is the frosty white-khaki, and "4" is the dark purple.
I applied each shade as recommended, then applied liberal amounts of black eyeliner and mascara. I finished the face with Bobbi Brown Moisture-Rich Foundation (which I loathe), Rimmel Perfect Match concealer, Covergirl's Classic Color blush in Soft Mink, and a dab of lip balm.

I was surprised at how much I liked the way this turned out. I'm normally not one for cooler-toned looks, so this surprised me. I found the shadows very easy to work with, and they blended nicely. Smokey eyes are always good for making eye color stand out, and these made my hazel eyes pop. I'm a fan!
Before / After
After taking all these pictures, I felt like I was taking myself too seriously. Being known for my rather "expressive" face, I played around a bit with my camera. The result:
